CosmoKidz at gifted conferences across USA

As mentioned in our previous newsletter, we were invited by Stephanie Higgs to present a breakout session about CosmoKidz and CosmoTweenz for gifted educators at the Tennessee Association for the Gifted (TAG) Annual Conference in October. Long-time CosmoKidz advocate and teacher Amy McDonald traveled to Tennessee to present on our behalf. She was able to interact with gifted educators who could benefit from using CosmoActivities in their classrooms, explaining the theoretical foundation of CMM and demonstrating how the activities can be used in the classroom. Most notably, Amy was able to establish a connection with the gifted education community, which we believe are the educators that are best equipped to integrate CosmoActivities into the classroom in the United States, and develop a better sense of their needs and wants, as well as how we can address them using the CosmoActivities.
This experience is kicking off a renewed effort to promote our CosmoActivities, which are now available virtually and for free at www.cosmoactivities.com. We will continue our tour around gifted conferences in various states by having Amy present again at the upcoming Arizona Association for the Gifted and Talented Annual Conference in February, to which we were recently accepted. She will be accompanied by CMMi Executive Director, Abbie VanMeter, and CMMi President, Kim Pearce, who will have the opportunity to act as exhibitors, giving away free box sets of the CosmoKidz and CosmoTweenz Activities and introducing more educators to our website and resources.
We are interested in building relationships with the educators who use our CosmoActivities, offering support and insight as they endeavor to empower their students to create better social worlds in the classroom and beyond using CosmoActivities. If you or someone you know is looking for free social-emotional learning resources, please reach out to connect with us. We invite you to be in conversation with us as we continue to spread the word about CosmoActivities.
Where should we travel next?! Please email abbievanmeter@gmail.com. We are excited to collaborate with you!
